About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer with AI/ML expertise to build cutting-edge AI agent systems for financial compliance. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, turning the latest advancements in language models and agent frameworks into production-grade solutions that deliver real value for financial institutions.

This is a hands-on role where you'll build robust, scalable systems that operate in live customer environments. You'll work directly with state-of-the-art AI technologies while ensuring the reliability and accuracy that regulated industries demand.

What You'll Do

• Build AI agent systems for regulated use cases. Design and implement agentic workflows, optimize prompt engineering, and develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that enhance our core operational capabilities

• Create robust evaluation and monitoring frameworks. Build systems to rigorously measure, test, and improve AI performance, ensuring our solutions meet the demanding accuracy standards of the financial industry

• Translate cutting-edge research into production systems. Turn the latest advancements in applied AI into scalable, reliable software that operates seamlessly in customer environments

• Collaborate across teams. Work closely with product, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver AI features that solve real customer problems

• Optimize system performance. Debug and improve AI system performance, from prompt optimization to retrieval system tuning

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focused on AI/ML applications

• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)

• Hands-on experience with modern language models (LLMs) and their applications

• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector search systems

• Experience with agentic workflows and AI agent frameworks

• Familiarity with AI evaluation techniques and performance optimization

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills

• Ability to work independently and tackle ambiguous problems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with traditional ML model development, training, and evaluation

• Knowledge of NLP techniques and information retrieval systems

• Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries

• Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis

• Background in distributed systems and scalable software architecture
